Jordanelle State Park

We arrived in Utah & set up camp at Jordanelle State Park.  I'm sure this place is bustling in summer, but there were just a handful of campers there.  We secured a very level site just across from the bathhouse that we essentially had to ourselves.  The showers were push button, and although they were fabulously hot the first day, they got a little cooler each day after.  Odd!  There was a nice playground, and pricey laundry facilities onsite.  The view of Jordanelle Lake and the spectacular fall colors was amazing, unbeatable!  The first day was rather cold, drizzly, and gloomy, but the rest of our time here was sunny!

We stayed here for 4 nights
Mostly our time here was just a little decompress time.  Steve had some work to catch up on, and we all enjoyed the chance to just bask in the sun & not have a big agenda.  The girls had a blast scootering  around; it was a perfect place to do it since the roads were paved and the campground was essentially empty. This little guy befriended Alyssa shortly after our arrival, and he patiently called out every morning for a little food, water, and lots of affection!  He wasn't impressed with Steve, for whatever the reason, but wow, he was a good cat; we were sad to drive away & leave him behind!  He was definitely a big highlight of our time here!

On our last evening here, we ventured into town for frozen yogurt at a little place called Yobar.  The people were super nice, and they had a clown named Soda Pop there doing facepainting and balloon art.  The girls were so delighted with their facepaint we had a hard time getting them to wash their faces after!  The surrounding town was pretty neat, and we kind of wished we had ventured out to explore more, but we still had a great time just hanging out at our campsite.
