Cathedral Spires

Since the weather has held out, we decided to stay a little longer here in Custer.  Since we had to leave Big Pines on Sunday, we found French Creek Campground to finish out our stay.  It's a tiny little campground, tight on space, but the owners & fellow campers are super nice.

After our crazy big hike yesterday, we went on the Cathedral Spires hike today, only 3 miles total.  It's a technical, but fun hike.  Even Genna hiked close to two-thirds of the way with short breaks on Steve's shoulders.  Fall colors here are surely at their peak; they are spectacular!

Off to Nebraska tomorrow before this incredible streak of amazing weather is over!

Love this picture of my boys, even if Steve is showing off his belly, lol!
We are really enjoying our adventure. At about this time next year, we anticipate reaching our own "end of trail."
